Hotels round the world - Mercure Trier Porta Nigra

Basically a hotel for tourists.
The "Privilege" rooms (higher level) are facing the Porta Nigra just in front and hence are submitted to the noisy crowds and the traffic on the street inbetween. Double pane windows are especially powerless against frequent police and other sirens. A hospital is down the street with a helicopter landing pad.
The large rooms (twin beds) were basically ok except a large stain (30cm diamater) on the couch in the first room assigned.
On the first visit, I had also to complain about missing items upon my arrival such as bathrobe, slippers, bottle of water and dosettes of coffee, normally provided for this type of rooms, but that was quickly fixed. The other visits were ok, except for a number of television channels that were blurred.
The complimentary drink offered to Accor members has become a non-sense since it requires now the usage of an app.
